El Chapo take on ISIS ~ and that’s a good thing???

Just read something over on Allen West’s site that’s got me saying WTF! This is scary stuff y’all. Let’s think this one out for a minute. The gist of the story is that the Mexican cartel leader El Chapo has vowed to take on ISIS.{{original article – “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”}} Some within the comments and on other social media are cheering this and I totally get that but think about it. Our US leadership is so week that we are looking to hard core criminals to save us?!? This is terrifying when you think about the long term effect. The drug cartels are already dangerous enough so ya let’s embolden them, encourage them, and watch them organize and gain in numbers, strength and power. Yep that’s sounds like a great idea. You think they will just wipe out ISIS for us and then sit back and chill, so proud of themselves for their good deeds? An army with nothing to do will FIND something to do. And let’s think about what kind of “army” this would be. Totally for financial gain and power. No “humanitarian” efforts necessary here. Not bound to ethical standards or rules of engagement. Yep, sounds like a great idea, something worthy of cheers.

The US used to be the world leader, the setter of standards, the enforces of those standard. What are we now? Our leadership preaches a moral high ground but when it’s all talk with no “big stick” it’s basically worthless and the world knows it.

We are in real trouble! Vladimir Putin, El Chapo, Giovanni Gambino and Anonymous have become the heroes? Is this the Twilight Zone?

We are in the heart of an election season and we really need to think about who we want representing us and about how we want to be represented. Most importantly we need to consider not just the short term, rah-rah moments but also the repercussions in the long term.
